The History of Painting
Is the relation of architecture and color a long tradition or a recent fad? Tracking down the history of painting is difficult, because the knowledge of painting traditions is declining.

The investigation of pagoda temples from the 17th century at Kathmandu Durbar Square marked the beginning of a holistic study of the history of painting in Nepal. This study gave the opportunity to introduce local professionals into scientific methods of investigating and analyzing historic paint finishes.
